Want to stand out from the crowd?

If your answer is YES consider getting certified through the Global Communication Certification Council. A certification can help you increase your earning potential, gain a competitive advantage and build professional credibility.

And at IABC Victoria, we fully support our members to attain this goal. Our next exam will be held on Sunday 18 October 2020.

If you’re thinking about certification but don’t know where to start, come along to our free virtual information session in August, facilitated by immediate past president and Vice Chair of the Global Communication Certification Council, Sia Papageorgiou FRSA, SCMP. Sia will discuss the benefits of certification and why you should seriously consider getting certified, explain the process and share the resources you need to help you prepare for the exam. She’ll even give you a practice test you can take away with you.

In the meantime, check out these four compelling reasons to get certified.

1. On average, people with a bachelor's degree and higher, combined with a certification earn 18% more per week, when compared to people who hold a bachelor’s degree and higher but hold no certification.

2. 50% of all certified professionals are promoted within the first six months of getting a certification.

3. Certified professionals are almost two times as likely to received frequent pay rises than their non-certified peers.

4. Recruiters are three times more likely to shortlist an applicant’s profile if they have a professional certification to their name.
